About

Samrah Khan (she/her) is a climate strategist and partnerships leader working at the intersection of frontline resilience, global policy, and climate finance.

As a first-generation Pakistani American, she brings a unique perspective informed by lived experience across the Global North and South.

"I started as a student activist with Sunrise, Sierra, and 350.org—marching, organizing teach-ins, and demanding climate justice. But I realized that protest alone wasn’t enough. That led me to March for Science, where I began building international coalitions to elevate science-based climate solutions across borders. That momentum brought me into formal policy and diplomacy spaces—becoming a UNA-USA SDG Ambassador and working across the UN ecosystem. What I’ve learned is that the most effective global partnerships are built on the energy, urgency, and clarity that comes from frontline activism."

From co-directing international youth-led partnerships at Climate Cardinals, a Forbes 30 under 30 nonprofit, to leading tree equity and adaptation efforts through AmeriCorps, Samrah builds bridges between local communities, global coalitions, and high-level decision-makers. Her work spans the UN system, government, philanthropy, and clean tech innovation, and is grounded in a core belief: those closest to the problem hold the keys to the solution.
